James Priyanga Mendis is a Sri Lankan entrepreneur and Chairman of Ceylon Cinnamon Company, where he owns a 10-acre cinnamon plantation in Molkawa and manufactures/distributes Ceylon cinnamon globally. He co-founded VOC Spices with Pradeep Nishan Rupasinghe, expanding into international markets while blending traditional values with modern tech. Inspired by his ancestor Alagiyawanna Don Louis Mendis Appuhamy, a Victorian-era Ceylonese agriculture director.
